Rather than functioning as isolated tools, every module talks to the others: a report strengthens the data behind a course; a course primes someone to recognize what to report; a game makes both easier to remember. This modular design is intentional. It means the platform can grow — adding new capabilities, new safety domains, and new communities — without ever losing the thread that ties reporting, learning, and response together. Whatever module a person enters through, they arrive at the same destination: a system working quietly in the background to keep them, and the people around them, safer.
Dashboard
The Dashboard is where reports become insight — presented simply, interactively, and in a way that’s easy for anyone to use, not just data specialists. No steep learning curve, no clutter: just a clear, visual read on trends, hotspots, and patterns as they emerge, so that individuals, communities, institutions, and authorities can see what’s happening around them at a glance. Simplicity here is deliberate — the more accessible the Dashboard, the more people can act on what it shows them.
Reporting
Reporting is where Chat2Safety begins — the simplest, most direct way for anyone to raise a signal when something is wrong. Through a mobile-friendly interface, integrated social media channels, and a dedicated website, individuals can report incidents in real time, without technical barriers or complicated procedures standing in their way. Crucially, the reporting tool is built on proven, existing technology designed to work even where internet connectivity is unreliable or unavailable — because safety shouldn’t depend on signal strength. Every report matters — not just as an individual cry for help, but as a data point that feeds the platform’s interactive Dashboard, sharpening the picture of trends, hotspots, and emerging risks for the wider community. In building this module, our guiding question was simple: what does it take to make someone feel safe enough, and equipped enough, to speak up the moment it counts? Reporting is how Chat2Safety turns silence into signal, one voice at a time.
Games
Not everything that keeps people safe needs to feel serious. The Games module brings simple, familiar formats — word searches, puzzles, quizzes, and other easy-to-pick-up games — into safety education, making prevention and preparedness something people engage with by choice, not obligation. These aren’t complicated simulations; they’re the kind of light, accessible games anyone can jump into on a short break, that quietly reinforce safety knowledge through repetition and recall rather than lectures. This is edutainment in practice — knowledge that sticks because it was fun to learn, not just something read once and forgotten. For younger users especially, games offer a way to build safety awareness early, in a language they already speak fluently.
Courses
For those who want to go deeper, the Courses module offers structured learning on the topics that matter most — from recognizing early warning signs and understanding prevention strategies, to practical guidance for responding when an incident occurs. Courses are presented as clear, scrollable lessons directly on the platform — lightweight, accessible even on a weak connection, and easy to move through at your own pace. For topics that benefit from demonstration, select lessons are also available as video, hosted on our YouTube channel, giving learners the choice of format that suits them and their connectivity. Where Games teaches through play, Courses teaches through depth: giving individuals, communities, and institutions the grounding they need to move from awareness to genuine competence.
The Lab
Every effective response starts with good evidence, and The Lab is where that evidence lives — and grows. This is Chat2Safety’s home for research, standard operating procedures, and the knowledge that underpins everything else on the platform, organized into two connected spaces:
The Library holds our published research, reference material, and SOPs — the trusted, citable knowledge base that individuals, institutions, and partners can draw on with confidence. This is where findings, past studies, and operating procedures are archived, organized, and made easy to find when they’re needed most.
The Bench is where the work is still in motion — active studies, ongoing research, and open calls for participation. As Chat2Safety’s research agenda grows, The Bench is where people can volunteer their time, data, or lived experience to studies shaping the platform’s future, turning users from passive readers into active contributors to the evidence itself.
Together, the two spaces reflect what The Lab is meant to be: not an archive to browse once and forget, but a living body of knowledge that the community helps build.
Get Help
When someone needs help, speed and accuracy matter more than anything else — Get Help is designed around exactly that urgency. It’s a detailed advisory and referral directory connecting people to real first responders, support services, and relevant authorities in their area, filterable by both the type of help needed — medical, legal, shelter, counseling, security, and more — and by location, so no one has to sift through irrelevant contacts while every minute counts.
Because a referral directory is only as good as its accuracy, Get Help is built to stay current — combining institutional verification with community input, so listings reflect who can actually help, right now, rather than who could help once. This is Chat2Safety at its most immediate: not just informing people about safety, but placing them directly in contact with the people and services who can act
